Well sorry I missed a blog last week. I was... uhh.. ya know what I don't have to explain myself to you! Maybe I was saving a baby from.... a uh.....burning..uh........bear. Yeah you think bears are mean, try setting one on fire. Maybe I was saving the world from global warming. It was very non-exisistingly difficult. Maybe I was watchin Glee in my underwear eating Cheetos. One of those is true. You pick.

So I couldn't really think of anything to blog about this week. I don't know if it's cause I haven't really had new stuff goin on lately or if the creative juices just aren't flowing at the moment. Hopefully it's the first. I haven't had much of the new goin on but it's been fun. I've just been goin fishing and hiking, playin some basketball, and golfing. Man that really sounds like a horrible time.

But I came across this quote and it really applies to my life.

Sunday Funday Boat Quote!!!!

"Living involves tearing up one rough draft after another." ~Author Unknown

I hate doing author unknown quotes but I really like this one. My sister wrote a blog recently that I really enjoyed. It's about trying new things. Well I sure haven't had a problem with that in my life. After high school I became a music major. After my first heart removal I decided to check out the big city and moved to St. Louis. There I started working construction. Then I moved back and tried out the whole small business owner thing. It went well for a while but it wasn't for me.

I've washed cars, waited tables, folded clothes, power washed houses, did drafting drawings, gotten paid to perform, yada yada yada. I've always just let the wind blow me where it may. Uhh that uhh... continuing.

Point is, we keep writing rough drafts in life untill we learn a little bit about how to write. Well after a lot of different attempts at different chapters, I know I have at least published one part of my story. I am a firefighter. No matter what kind of M. Night Shyamalan twists come along, that is etched in stone. That is what I want to do and no matter what happens, I will always be a part of the brotherhood that is firefighting.

I work and hang out with a lot of young poeple out here and if could say one thing to them it would be, just keep "writing". Those friends of your's that have it all figured out at 20 are going to be bored for life. Make mistakes. Go for broke. And if it doesn't work, start on a new page. One of my best friends Josh actually started me on writing and the first thing he said to me when we started was, "Just write. If it's crap then move on and just write."

Boy, for not having anything to write about this is a long ass blog.

So another quote? That's ok. Sit down. Breathe. Ready?

"Life’s like a novel with the end ripped out." ~Danny Orton

Just remember that life is full of twists, subplots, comedy, drama, romance, music, and creative characters. The trick is to write. May God bless every page you publish.

Home Sweet Home. I have lived a few places. I spent some time in The Lou. A few crazy years where I fell in love with the Cards, and a female pitcher who I traded for a player to be named later. How later, God only knows.

Now I am in Terre Haute, Indiana. Do you put a comma there if you spell out the whole state? It really is an awesome place if you love beautiful scenery, great fishing, unbelievable hiking, and really creative meth labs.

In the past four days I went fishing (actually caught a few), went hiking (it was a great time with my Dad), and then went horseback riding (didn't get bucked off), and it was so great, however, it wasn't a day just doing nothin in TEXAS. But don't worry sweet chivalry, I'll be comin soon.

July 1-14. I'll be there. I'll get to see my niece's favorite uncle's favorite niece. You'll get it in a minute.

"I have seen beautiful country and ridiculous forestry, but rarely do I see a man wave back when I drive down my street." - Brad Hadley

Texas is a different place. In a good way? In a bad way? NOOOOOO. In a way you will never understand.

If Rhode Island decided to form their own country, 4 people would join the army.

If the big TEEEEEEEEEXXXXXXXXXAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS seceded, the entire state, including me, would lay down their lives.

I'll meet you soon O' lover. A sweet and kind kiss knows the welcome you bring.
I know I'll leave again, but I will be back, for your promises ring.

I'm gonna start this off by saying 1. If you're not a sports fan you won't enjoy this. (I know it's familiar but you liked that one too soooooooooooooo)

2. Remember kid, heroes get remembered, legends never die. - Sandlot

I'm gonna put about 10 Sunday Funday Bout Qouates so just be prepared, but they're good.

A legend passed away. A man of unbelievable respect from every aspect. He hasn't coached in 35 years and when he walked into a room, people stopped.

He won seven in a row. K. I'm done. OH, MORE? He won ten NCAA Championships in a twelvle year span. 4 unbeaten seasons. His record? You might want to sit down. 664- 162.

'Nough said right?

He's not remembered for his record but for his love of making people greater than they possibly could be.

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are. - John Wooden

Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should have accomplished with your ability. - John Wooden

If you're not making mistakes, then you're not doing anything. I'm positive that a doer makes mistakes. - John Wooden

Success is never final, failure is never fatal. It's courage that counts. - John Wooden

Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Conceit is self-given. Be careful. - John Wooden.

You can't let praise or criticism get to you. It's a weakness to get caught up in either one. - John Wooden

You can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you. - John Wooden

Mannnnnn. That's only a half of what this man has said and done. That last qoute is my favorite. He knew how to live and he knew how to teach. That age old qeustion.... D.O.G.T.E.D.
